Hello, my name is Kristian, I am an architect with over 22 years of experience helping couples and families to extend and renovate their tired and outdated homes. I provide clients with a common-sense approach to the creation of new space Extensions and the re-planning of existing spaces Renovations.

I can draw on my own families experience of extending and renovating our own home so I value the importance of clear communication and experience.

MY PROCESS

STEP 01

DISCOVERY CALL | For many people, extending or renovating their place of residence may be an extremely stressful process. Let me take the pressure out of this process by starting with an informal chat to discuss your ideas, answer any exploratory questions, and assess whether we are a good fit for each other. There is no charge, and you can arrange an initial "DISCOVERY CALL" here.

STEP 02

MOVING FORWARD | Following our initial chat we can arrange a quick meet and greet on the site (for new builds) or at the house being extended or renovated. Following our meeting and discussions on the best way forward I can provide a tailored quotation for your project, as well as a breakdown of any additional costs associated with the project. Following agreement of the Fee Proposal and terms, we can schedule a day and time to survey the current house and begin the process.

STEP 03

SKETCHES AND IDEAS I  I can begin the process of re-planning or expanding your home with drawings and sketches that explain and transmit my thoughts as well as the layout of the new or existing spaces. At this point, I can also provide you, the homeowner, with the option of viewing the proposed extension or renovation in VR (virtual reality), allowing you to experience the new areas before they are constructed. 

STEP 04

STATUTORY APPROVALS & PRICING |  Once the design has been finalised and you are completely satisfied with the ideas and concepts, I can proceed with the Planning and/or Building Regulations applications. Once you have obtained your statutory approvals you may obtain prices or tender for the project, hiring a contractor, and getting started with your home extension or renovation.

  • With virtual reality, you can now stroll around each room and feel the transition from one location to the next. Imagine yourself travelling from the kitchen to the dining room and "feel" how it will feel. Examine the angles of the roof and the ceiling heights as you peer deeper into the corner and out the window at your magnificent panorama. This is such an effective tool for helping us develop design concepts and ideas.
